Over 400 participants including businesses and export & investment promotion agencies from 15 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean participated in several discussions touching on the latest global trends in the service industry and the tangible opportunities that the global market offered. Discussions were led by renowned business leaders and service industry associations from India, the Phillipines, United States, Europe and Latin America.
As the economy recovers, the global outsourcing industry’s place in the global economy is increasingly prominent., with the number of outsourcing activities is expected to continue growing over the next years. Both businesses and service providers must adopt new ways of facing current challenges in order to make the most of the opportunities offered by the emerging trends in the sector. The evento discussed the recent developments in the indusrty and, with them, the best strategies that the LAC countries can follow to continue positioning themselves as relevant actors in the global outsourcing scene.
The Integration and Trade Sector, the Inter-American Development Bank and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Argentina, with the Fundación Exportar and the Export Promotion Agency hosted Outsource2LAC 2013 with the goal of givign participants an opportunity to discuss the latest trends in the global services sector and identify business opportunities in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Outsource2LAC 2014 was organized by the Inter-American Development Bank, the Ministry of Economy of Guatemala, the Investment Promotion Agency “Invest in Guatemala” and the Guatemalan Asosciation of Exporters (AGEXPORT), with the support of the Internacional Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) and Tholons. The evento hosted over 500 businesses form the services sector, including representatives from big companies form Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia, Europe and North America.
Outsource2LAC is the most relevant Forum for Outsourcing and Offshoring in Latin America and the Caribbean, where the most prominent actors in the global services sector participate to discuss opportunities in one of the world’s most dynamic regional markets. Participants had a chance to learn about the latest trends in the global services industry, and had the opportunity to meet partners and potential clients in one-to-one meetings.
Outsource2LAC has withstood the test of time and has consolidated as the main Outsourcing and Offshoring Forum in Latin America and the Caribbean, and in its 2017 edition it offered participants a chance to get acquainted with the latest trends in the global services sector, better equipping them to expand their business worldwide. Hundreds of representatives from the services sector from Latin America, Asia, Europe and North America participated, as well as representatives from the export and investment promotion agencies of over 20 LAC countries.
